Volunteers are the heart of Friends & Co.
Whether you’re connecting one-on-one with an older adult, answering calls on our Coffee Talk line, or sharing your time and energy behind the scenes, your contribution helps end isolation and build life-changing friendships. Before getting started, please review the requirements below and then complete the application.
Volunteer Requirements
A background check is required before beginning any volunteer role
Friends & Co covers the $22 background check fee (applicants may choose to pay it themselves)
You must agree to the terms and conditions during the application process
You’ll be asked to select your preferred volunteer role and tell us what inspires you to connect with older adults
After applying, our team will follow up with next steps and training information
