June was born in South Korea and adopted at age seven, when she moved to Minnesota, where she has spent most of her life. Her childhood experience was mixed; she credits her adoptive father, a gentle and softspoken man, for being a positive influence in her life. Relationships with other adults were a bit more difficult.

From a young age, music has always been close to June’s heart. She taught herself to play guitar, performed in a Minnesota State Fair singing contest, and earned second place singing “Me and Bobby McGee.” Although fear kept her from pursuing some opportunities when she was younger, she hopes to reconnect with music as a source of healing and self-expression.

Today, June enjoys writing and attending theater productions. She also has an interest in painting and enjoys activities like Topgolf. Creativity and the arts continue to bring her joy.

Life has presented June with challenges, including multiple concussions that have affected her short-term memory. She also manages anxiety, depression, and panic attacks, which have led her to stop driving. She would love a friend to talk with about the difficult parts of life as well as the positive.

June describes herself as a loyal, trustworthy person. As an empath, she is sensitive to the emotions of others and appreciates friends who understand that she occasionally needs time alone to recharge. As she seeks companionship, June hopes to connect with people who are genuine, truthful, and positive even in the midst of challenges. She values friendships built on mutual respect, open communication, and acceptance.
