Sherry grew up in Roseville, Minnesota. After a long career in the mental health field, Sherry retired in January 2022. Since then, she has worked part-time as a custodian at State Park’s visitor center, where she especially enjoys the days she gets to work outdoors. Faith plays a central role in her life, and she is currently attending ministry school, with plans to complete her first year this December. She also spends much of her free time volunteering through churches and community organizations, helping with meal distribution and other service projects.

Over the past few years, Sherry has experienced several major life changes. Her longtime church closed after the passing of her pastor, leaving her without the church family that had been an important source of community and support. She is now searching for a new church home. She also recently moved. Living alone and adjusting to a new environment has been difficult, especially since her current residence does not offer social activities. She is also a bit further away from friends and community she once saw more frequently.

In her free time, Sherry enjoys reading, playing cards, going out for coffee, and occasionally watching movies or educational programs. She doesn’t get out as much as she would like, as much of her time and energy are devoted to work, ministry studies, and volunteer service.

Sherry describes herself as somewhat introverted and not always easy to get to know at first. Once she opens up, however, she enjoys meaningful conversations about faith, current events, and life’s deeper questions. She values respectful dialogue and appreciates people who can discuss different viewpoints without becoming argumentative. Sherry is looking for genuine companionship and connection during a time of significant change.
